Fish 4 Thought, Rawai

Fish 4 Thought is new to Rawai, opening in early 2013 and has just been added to my list of favourites! It is on the left as you drive south from Chalong and just before you reach the Petrol Station on the right. Set back off the road in the owner's old family home (it belonged to his great grandmother), the restaurant has an in front parking area and offers open air and indoor dining. Thames Kraitat is not only the owner but also the Chef, speaks very good English (he is Thai - Anglo-Irish) and is happy to help out with the menu.

Being an architecture addict I love places like this - original ceramic tiles, antiques and so on.

The atmosphere is completely different at night, when the grounds are lit up and music adds a special touch.

The menu offers local Phuketian dishes such as 'Moo Hong', as well as Thai and European Food, nicely cooked and well presented. I had a Thai Spicy Fern Salad followed by a big and delicious home-made Orange Chocolate Mousse that reminded me of Terry's Chocolate Oranges! You can see the mousse in the display cabinet below!

Fish 4 Thought is open every day except Mondays from 10.00am to 11.00pm for drinks and food.
