To avoid accidents due to drivers crossing red lights, Phuket now has countdown at most intersections. The first countdown in red has been around for sometime, but now there is an additional countdown of 3 seconds in yellow, and then it's go,go,go! (Of course there is a green countdown as well!) At least it gives you something to do while you're waiting!
