If you're driving from Saphan Hin you will see the sign 344 on the left just after the traffic lights - that's where you will find Kengtin! (click on photo to view larger). As you walk along the road you will see a glass window where the staff are making cakes, they sure seem a happy bunch!
Kengtin was Phuket's first Sweet and Cake Factory and has been baking and selling 'Kanom' for over 70 years. The products are made at the back of the shop so freshness can be guaranteed. Packaged beautifully in decorative boxes and airtight bags with a storage of 2 weeks they make ideal gifts or souvenirs.You can order a Bubble Tea a plate of cakes and sit and watch Phuket street life.
Samples are available for tasting too!
Hokkien style sweets are part of the Phuket culture.
The shop is well known for it's Hungry Ghost Festival turtles and also for Mooncakes
