ศาลเจ้าฮกหงวนก้ง (วงเวียนหอนาฬิกา)
Sarn Jao Hok Nguan Gong is located on the Surin Circle, the present building was built around 1926. As the story goes a Phuket resident brought an image of Jo Seu Gong from China to worship in a small shrine located behind the Tavorn Hotel. Some time later a fire occurred but the sacred icon of Jo Seu Gong didn't burn and was therefore moved to Sarn Jao Mae Guan Im temporarily. Another miracle occurred when someone saw the spirit of Jo Sue Gong meditating at the top of Kao Nangpantarat (?) but on climbing to the top couldn't find him. Out of respect a new shrine was built in 1926 at it's present location and people will pray for success in work and trade. If successful they will make an offering of pearls. Thanks to: edtguide
ศาลเจ้าฮกหงวนก้งตั้งอยู่บริเวณหอนาฬิกาวงเวียนสุรินทร์ มีประวัติเล่าว่าชาวเหมืองในจังหวัดภูเก็ต ได้อันเชิญรูปแกะสลักท่านจ้อซือก้ง จากเมืองจีนมาประดิษฐานในศาลเจ้าเล็กๆ ด้านหลังโรงแรมถาวร ต่อมาเกิดเพลิงไหม้ขึ้นแต่ด้วยความศักดิ์สิทธิ์รูปแกะสลักท่านไม่ไหม้ไฟ ต่อมาได้อันเชิญไว้ที่ศาลเจ้าแม่กวนอิมชั่วคราว ได้เกิดปาฏิหาริย์ขึ้นอีก คนพบเห็นดวงวิญญาณท่านนั่งสมาธิบนยอดเขานางพันธุรัตน์ แต่ขึ้นไปดูกลับไม่พบ ภายหลังปี 2469 (1926) สาธุชนที่เคารพจึงได้จัดสร้างศาลฮกหงวนก้งเพื่ออัญเชิญดวงวิญญาณและรูปแกะสลักท่านมาประดิษฐานไว้ คนทั่วไปมักนิยมกราบไหว้ ขอพรเรื่องการงานค้าขายกำไรดี หากสำเร็จนิยมนำไข่มุกมาถวาย : Thanks to: edtguide
