Despite the fact that the Phuket Vegetarian Festival originates from Kathu Shrine, Jui Dtui has, probably because of it's location in the center of town, become the heart of the ceremonies.

Effigies were for sale at the entrance of the temple. Once purchased the effigy will be taken to the shrine to be blessed with the spirit of the god it represents.
