Rahn Jee Nguat - ร้านจี้งวด

Another long established restaurant is Jee Nguat's Curry Shop in Yaowarat Road near the intersection with Dibuk Road.. Not only does she sell curry and rice but also pots of chilli dips to take home.

Nam Prik Goong Siap (น้ำพริกกุ้งเสียบ) is a famous Phuket food.- A dried prawn chilli paste good for eating with fresh or steamed vegetables. The Thai's say you haven't been to Phuket if you haven't eaten Nam Prik Goong Siap!

Gleu Kery (เกลือเคย)- Popular dip for eating with sour fruit such as Raw Mangos. (Salty and Spicy - Yum!)

Geng Dtai Plah (แกงไตปลา)- Made from fermented fish stomach this chilli paste can be used as a dip for eating with vegetables or diluted with water for making a typical Southern Thai curry called Geng Dtai Plah. (Another one of my favourites)
