The Recycle is located close to the Rawai Palm Beach Resort and Rawai Municipality Office at the three-way junction to Laem Promthep and Nai Harn / Kata where the road becomes a bridge over the canal that leads to Rawai Beach. A great place to stop off after watching the sunset!

A family run business with a relaxed homely atmosphere that reminded me a lot of the Natural Restaurant in Phuket Town but on a smaller scale. It stands between the road and the canal and is easy to miss unless you know it's there. From the outside it looks a bit like a fisherman's shack, built out of bits of old wood and surrounded by plants, but as you walk inside you realise that it is much more than a 'shack' but in fact a small friendly restaurant come mini museum.
Relax outside in front of the restaurant or choose a seat inside.
Choose a table with a view of the canal and suddenly you forget you are in Phuket at all!
There is a fun collection of antiques to keep you busy while you are waiting for your meal.
As always I chose something nice and spicy, but there are plenty of dishes for more western tastes. The prices were very reasonable and the portions large, this plate of squid was around 100 Baht, in most tourist restaurants you could expect to pay 200 Baht or more.
